Flower exhibition FLORIA2009 Putrajaya (no 3) - orchids

FLORIA2009 Putrajaya. Thursday 6th of August 2009, both of us went there. It was a weekday, therefore not many people around. I paste orchids for this post. I took the day off, first to Immigration Department for passport and visa, then we turned around and stop at FLORIA2009 for a couple hours before going home.

Such a display of orchids! I can only snap and show a few here....

  1. Orchids are beautiful, and noble. I think so.

  2. Yes I noticed those beautiful orchids too! I remember those corporate gardens have lots of orchids too. Just so wonderful to see so many varieties at one place. Btw, I wonder if they would return all those lovely plants to the nurseries after displaying or they are going to 'lelong' them. I am sure they are going to be many eager takers :-D

  3. I like the first picture, it's like mamoth tusks planted in the ground, and the orchids are wonderful.

If I may add RAINNIE, orchids are cool. We did go round the place you mentioned STEPH, orchids are fantastic, and I love the way they display them. They really test creativity to the limit. One section had orchids upset down. Another put orchids in bamboo. If they "lelong", Kakdah will definitely rush right on the dot! It is BARRY, like a mammoth task planted on the ground. Never thought of that before.... And they used built in drip system to keep plants fresh in such hot environment.

  7. Beautiful orchids. I've always been scared to grow them, but I think I might succumb to temptation quite soon ...

I understand SUE, orchids require treatment of a different kind, a lot different than normal veggie in pots or in bed... So, you wanna give it a try?
