Kubis dalam pasu - CABBAGE IN POTS. Again.

Yes, we had bought more cabbage from the market than what we had grown ourselves .  That is a different story altogether.  Growing vegetables is fun. It is nice to be part of the green world, seeing vegetables growing in front of our own eyes.

It's cabbage now in our little garden. Huh,  It was one weeklong without rain, so Kakdah had to water them regularly.

next cabbage leaves will soon grow inwards to form cabbage head

After growing cabbage several times, we can roughly guess which stage they in now. Spinach or kale will grow upwards over time. For cabbage, once the stem has grown strong and tough, it will grow inwards to form the cabbage head.

  1. A truly inspirational idea to grow cabbages in pots, we might try growing some kale in a pot as we've run out of space in our raised beds. Franny & Suzy from Plot 57b

  2. In the garden I had always troubles with growing cabbages. May be I give it a try in pots. Your cabbage looks nice, untouched by insects or snails.

  3. Strange thought for me - growing cabbages in pots! Do they have pest like caterpillars in your part od the world as yours look extremely nibble free? We have to net ours or either the wood pigeons devastate them or the white butterflies lay eggs on them and their caterpillars devastate them.

  8. I tried growing cabbage once, and it grew into a tiny cabbage with just a few leaves. It remained that way for almost a year! I gave up after that!
    I should try again.

    1. lettuce will not be as long as cabbage..... and lettuce may not like too much sun, otherwise the taste will be bitter...
