That insect looks beautiful, hopefully it is not harmful for your plants.
That was my first encounter with such wonderful insect here. It didn't seem to munch vegetables in the garden, the day was hot, I guess it just dropped by for shade...

Yes, black body with yellow stripes, is indeed beautiful and bold.
