A very mysterious and beautiful looking butterfly, I wonder if the flowers taste different according to their colours :) Thank you for your inspirational comment on my blog post, it's so true!
ReplyDeletebutterfly is indeed mysterious, darting all over the flowers to make full use of 2 week- life.
DeleteThis butterfly are actually quite common in Malaysia. You managed to capture it with the wings down which is the prettier side.
ReplyDeleteThat butterfly was very active, allowing just a second or two for my shots before it moved.
DeleteVery nice butterfly, its color is so bright like it isn't natural.

Thanks Nadezda, it's all black with a bit of white and blue rings.......... it's the blue rings that makes it extraordinary!!
DeleteSalam raya bangchik...
ReplyDeletecantik butterfly tuh..kalau biasa jarang-jarang nampak yer? mungkin suka pink flower kot...:)
wassalam ummuaidan.., yang ini jarang nampak. lain butterfly lain bunga kesukaannya.
Deletelove macro shots...cinta! ;)
ReplyDeletehaha Tabib, shots from simple nikon D7000 standard lense..... I envy the bazooka version of yours!!
Deleteonce I grew butterflies on the lime tree. They were black like yours,
ReplyDeleteAnn... I saw tiny caterpillars on our limau kasturi citrus tree, I dont know what butterflie they end up as..
DeleteWe love butterflies.
ReplyDeleteNot caterpillars.
Somehow, a difficult cycle must be gone through.
Yeap... like, some love the beautiful sunset but run away from scorching afternoon sun.....
DeleteWhat a beautiful butterfly! I love those blue and white spots. I wish we had those here. :o)
ReplyDeleteCasa Mariposa..., you can enjoy our photos as much as we enjoy your summer / fall / autumn / spring pictures....
DeleteYour butterfly on the pink flower, so beautiful Bangchik and you captured it so well.
ReplyDeleteLiving high, Lisa.... with butterfly it's triple lucks, first one has to be there, second the butterfly has to come, third camera is available.... yeap black and pink , such a rare combination!
DeleteA lovely butterfly, we have not got these and as I see she likes the Zinnias.
ReplyDeleteyeap janneke it keeps coming back for zinnias ..., and the other smaller white butterfly loves basil flowers. Different appetite I suppose.
DeleteIt's always a challenge to photograph butterflies so well done for managing to snap a rare one!
ReplyDeleteOn speed we can't beat this male Jacintha Eggfly. I was lucky because it stayed long enough for a few shots. Getting close to snap pictures is like intrusion to it's culinary privacy, but the male butterfly is very territorial, it will keep coming back.
