I will fight and survive said the plant - Celosia argentea

and that would probably be the words uttered by plants and trees over million of years as they live through adverse conditions, heat, cold and storms and  survive for a day longer. It needed just a gust of wind to push the poor celosia argentea down, and the battle cry echoed again and again get up get up get up i will fight.... Within a week, the poor plant exhibited tremendous effort to get up and produce new shoots. It is really a sentimental display of will to survive, by our only celosia argentea at the backyard.

get up -  Celosia argentea

get up -  Celosia argentea

get up -  Celosia argentea

new shoot -  Celosia argentea

One short  burst of  strong wind toppled the poor plant,
and it leashed out THE WILL TO SURVIVE

" I will fight and survive "
said the plant.

  1. Isn't it amazing. How do the plants "know" what to do? I may have to try growing this one. It's only 14 degrees here in New York today with snow and ice everywhere. Nice to visit and see some green and color!

    1. JGH..... plants have cpu/brains like us folks too, they do talk but not in a language we understand, they understand threats and react accordingly, they keep growing and produce little things called seeds. They are like us too, but in the tribe known as plants...

      hmm... that's what i think.

    1. Malar, We do learn from them..., the friendship may grow, and human race may live within plant kingdom happily. Recently, a friend talked about his mother who got so attached with plants, and whenever his mother is sick, the plants reciprocate by showing awkward signs of slight wilting and lose a bit of their bright beautiful colour.

  3. It's obvious that the flowers tried to get up! What an effort.

    1. It's definitely a fine display of will to survive, for us to appreciate and learn.
