yeap.... it seems periwinkle is the only plant that produces vinblastine, a drug widely used to treat cancers..... and appropriately Majlis Kanser Nasional / National Cancer Council Malaysia adopts periwinkle flower as its logo.
Lynna, periwinkle will thrive in sandy areas. Kalau bela eluk2, buat pokok gantung pun boleh.... :) dan dibiarkan dahan terjuntai kebawah. Kat RnR tak perasan pulak ada....
Look so beautiful..we also just planted the same plant but white & light pink flower plants..3 days ago...the plant doesn't needs too much attention but keeps flowering or long...here in fiji they call it Sada bahar (forever flowering)
so its called Sada Bahar?... that surely describe periwinkle well, forever flowering,,,,, and the plants spread well, with lots of little seedlings around.
Bunga simbol MAKNA...
