New shoots to look at, and bilbo too.

Babies, new blooms, new buds, and young shoots have something in common. They invariably are gorgeous looking, fresh and shining..... The smell is sweet.....

Who doesn't like the look and smell of babies?

Bilbo, the gardening ambassador
I just read about Bilbo whereabouts.  Gittan picked Putrajaya as the next peace mission for this Honorable Gardening Ambassador. I had given ample warning to Gittan  about our hot and wet weather. I wont allow him to walk around naked. I warned about snails and slugs too.... Once, Gittan  has contacted me through email, I will pass the full address. Both of us [bangchik and kakdah] will be waiting for his arrival!!!... and he can leave behind sweaters, jackets and scarfs. We will buy tropical dress, with color of his own choice...... .....  So  Bilbo On the Move again!

  5. Lovely shoots. I might have to visit the greenhouse to get my green fix this week. I'm sure Bilbo will enjoy your warm climate and greenery, at the very least he can get rid of his scarf.

  18. MICHELLE, JOANNE, GINGER, NOELLE, CHRISTINE B, JANET, CATHERINE, NEZZY, BELLE, ALOHAMOLLY, STEPHANIE, WENDY, VRTLARICA, PEGGY, GREEN IRIS,

Hello, its really night here around 10.00pm. Some of you are lagging behind and some far ahead. So time really divides us, just like sea and mountains. But Blotanical comes in to connect everyone and our gardens too!!

Bilbo is a symbol of such connection, hopping around the globe to spread the words around; about gardening, plants, blooms, soils, about people and culture.

I can assure you, we will converse in our own language, "Bahasa Malaysia". Being diplomatic, Bilbo may just smile...... So that's a little bit about our gardening diplomat!

At times, I am being too romantic about gardening, plants, veggies and pests. Thats what I really feel about gardening. So, it is a pleasure to see new shoots emerging as much as the exitement surrounding orchid's colourful bloom.

Being too objective with gardening could be a hindrance to keep going and continue with it. Otherwise we would come up with list of inputs and outputs, profit and loss. We may then become too culculative that in the end, this little garden may just end up as lawn and nothing else.

Hobby, exitement and pleasure are a little bit subjective. I would rather leave gardening as such rather than being very mean, mechanical, and methodical.

New shoots, a snail, red bugs, falling leaves, ugly barks, beautiful flowers, ripening fruits etc, etc, are contributing factors in making gardening continuously exiting and worth looking for.

Oh well, some may not agree......

Just wonder if Gittan has bought new suitcase for Bilbo to put things in......
