a pair of banana plants, 9 month old pisang tanduk
I can see little seedlings appearing at the base of their trunk. I know, fruiting is coming soon.

ReplyDeleteThe only fruit that I take everyday is banana.
ReplyDeleteDear Banchik, Wow, that is amazing! It seems your February hopes came true. Pam
ReplyDeleteYour garden is really... something. You have almost everything in your garden LOL
ReplyDeleteIt takes 9mths for banana plant to reach maturity and produce fruits? Wow, same like human pregnancy! Hope to see your pisang tanduk soon!
ReplyDeleteYours have grown so big..mine just planted 2 days ago, so have to wait 9 mths to see them bear fruits..such a long way to go!
ReplyDeleteWe have banana plants in our garden but just as ornamentals - no chance of any fruit and they have to be protected over winter with straw.
ReplyDeletenice pisang tanduk! when its fruiting kak dah will be busy making banana fritters for tea! and dont forget to invite me as well!
ReplyDeleteOnly 9 months old? Amazing growth. They are beautiful trees.
ReplyDeleteWow, looks like your tea time snack shall be goreng pisang with teh tarik, very soon! I miss the fresh daun pisang, my mom used to cook nasi lemak and we would wrap it up with our own daun pisang!
ReplyDeleteBangchik, i hope you can control them. Their spaces move because of those suckers which move away from the main trunk to get sunshine. They need a wider space. But of course you will be happy with their fruits. Is the pisang tanduk the table type? I only know pisang mas which is actually known as var 'Latundan'.
ReplyDeleteBangchik, Hi! Do you use the flower for cooking?
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
